PAT Testers, Microwave Checkers and Noise Level Meters are accurate instruments and it is important to make sure that they are continuing to measure correctly. A faulty tester could fail to pick up any faults with electrical appliances and result in passing them. To prevent this and ensure the accuracy of PAT Testers, Microwave Checkers and Noise Meters, we recommend that calibration is carried out annually.

When we calibrate the PAT Testers, Microwave Checkers or Noise Meters we make sure that all products meet the original specification. This includes:

• Calibration traceable back to National Standards.
• Refurbishing the unit and upgrading it if required.
• Carrying out a PAT test on the tester if it is mains powered.
• Issuing a Calibration Certificate.

Collection & Delivery Service

We can arrange for the PAT Tester, Microwave Checker or Noise meter to be collected for calibration and delivered back to you within 5 working days. The cost of this service is £22.95 + VAT.

Alternatively you can arrange your own delivery back to First Stop Safety. Delivery back to you is charged at £11.50 + VAT.

PAT-IT, BattPAT & Microwave Checker Calibration Service

We are able to offer added value to our calibration of the PAT-IT, BattPAT and the Microwave Checker as we manufacture these testers. When you return them to us for calibration, we are able to upgrade these to the latest standard.

We have introduced an option to extend the warranty for 12 months from the date of calibration. Should the PAT-IT, BattPAT or Microwave Checker fail for any reason during this period, then return it to us. We will repair it and ship it back to you free of charge. When having the PAT-IT or BattPAT calibrated you can extend the warranty by 12 months for an additional £15. For the Microwave Checker the warranty can be extended for an additional £10.

The cost of having a Microwave Leakage Checker calibrated is £35. If extended warranty for another 12 months is required then this costs an additional £10 and brings the total cost to £45.

Noise Meter Calibration Service

A Noise Calibrator will allow you to check the day to day accuracy of the Sound Level Meter, but this is only being done at 1 kHz. Once a year it is important to have the Noise Meter and the Noise Calibrator itself calibrated.

The cost of the Noise Meter Calibration Service is as detailed below:

Noise Meters

• Sound Level Meter NM: £55.00 + VAT
• Integrating Sound Level Meter NM2: £75.00 + VAT
• Sound level Calibrator NC: £40.00 + VAT
• Basic Sound Level Meter NM3: £45.00 + VAT
