Noise at Work Training - In Depth Workshop

Picture of Noise at Work Training - In Depth Workshop

If you are involved with Health & Safety, you already should be aware that high noise levels at work can result in employees suffering permanent damage to their hearing. But you may want some additional questions answered, such as:

  • How can I measure noise levels in my workplace?
  • At what levels do I have a problem?
  • What do I have to do if noise levels are too high?
  • How can I choose the right ear-defenders?
  • How can I tell staff about the dangers of high noise?
  • How can I reduce noise levels?
  • What is the best way to check that staff are being protected?
  • What do the new Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 mean?

For answers to these questions, First Stop Safety have organised a combined Noise at Work Course: In-depth Workshop.

We use plain language to provide answers to all the above questions and many more. Many experts involved with Noise measurements tend to use technical jargon, which tends to confuse rather than inform. At First Stop Safety, we set out to inform from the very start and demystify the whole area of Noise at Work.

This course package consists of a Distance Learning element followed by a one day in-depth workshop, designed to provide delegates with an expert insight into the whole area of Noise at Work.

The Distance Learning material will take about half a day to complete and should initiate delegates into the basic requirements of Noise at Work and become familiar with the terminology. It will be sent prior to the in-depth workshop. A satisfactory level of understanding will have to be achieved before attending the full day workshop.

After attending the one day in-depth workshop, the delegates should be prepared to handle most Noise at Work problems with confidence and be able to safeguard the hearing of staff.

Everyone attending the course will receive the following:

A comprehensive pack of information that will assist in meeting the requirements of the Control of Noise at Work regulations. A free copy of the regulations (worth £13.95). A £50 voucher that can be redeemed against our Noise Measurement packages. Those passing the in-depth workshop assessment will receive a Certificate of Achievement, and qualify for 2 IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) CPD points. Lunch and all refreshments are included in the course costs.
