Fixed wiring installations have to be checked by qualified electricians on a regular basis, usually every 5 years for offices. However there are times when you will need to be sure that the wiring to a socket is safe, in between these checks.

In addition to the above, the Mains Socket Checker will also check the Earth Bond Resistance. This is important for the safe operation of many electrical appliances. It is also extremely easy to use.

Why is it so expensive?

People may tell you that you can buy the same product for around £10. These are basic Check-It type socket tester just looks for wiring faults. It does not check Earth Loop Impedance. (Earth Loop Impedance needs to be checked for the safe operation of Class I appliances.) This Mains Socket Chesker uses sophisticated electronics for doing this without setting off any trip switches.
