Portable Appliance Testers: We offer a range of simple-to-use Portable Appliance Testing packages for carrying out PAT testing yourself and also more advanced PAT testing packages suitable for qualified electricians. According to the Health & Safety Executive you do not need to be an electrician to carry out PAT testing as long as you use a simple "Pass/Fail" tester.

PAT Training: We run half-day "Demystifying Portable Appliance Testing" courses to train people to do their own PAT testing. This can result in substantial cost savings, flexibility in testing, as well as an improved "safety culture" within the business. Courses are held throughout the UK. We also offer 'In Depth' full day PAT courses for people wishing to offer PAT testing as a service. These full day courses are held at our training facility in York.

Noise at Work Training : First Stop Safety provide training to help you understand and comply with the Noise at Work Regulations that came in to force in April 2006 and measure the level of noise in your workplace. This helps companies and organisations comply with UK law, protect workers from Noise Induced Hearing Loss and Tinnitus.
